Daily log

One of the most interesting things you can do thanks to the interruptron is to have immediate visual information on how your time has been used. You can graph the current workday or any past day, and even have a look at the tasks you have accomplished, how much time you dedicated to them, and how much activity (keystrokes, words written) you produced while doing them.

When you press the log/graph shortcut (you can also right-click the interruptron and select it from there) you can see a log file divided into hour sections. This log file can be also found in the log directory that you defined in the options page.

Note: do not open this log file for the current day in excel/any other program while the interruptron is using it. It will generate errors.

Pressing ‘make chart’ will generate a bar graph that displays both the time spend on each activity (work, interruptions, and rest) and also the number of interruptions. Both graphs are simultaneously plotted. To differentiate the horizontal lines, the ones for minutes are pink and solid, and the ones for interruptions are blue and dotted. The graph will also display the total worked time and the average interruption time.
